Eight million euros will be invested in launching the production of body armors in Azerbaijan, a source close to the project told Trend.
The source said all current issues regarding the launch of the production have already been resolved.
“The manufactured products will be delivered to the law enforcement agencies of the country,” the source said.
The project will be implemented by the Bulgarian company MARS Armor, which will launch the production of body armors in Azerbaijan in collaboration with EPC Group.
EPC Group will engage in construction of a production building.
MARS Armor was founded in 2002 and is known today as one of the major European manufacturers of armored vehicles and body armors. The company cooperates with 45 countries. The company's products have successfully passed the tests conducted by NATO and have been certified according to ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001: 2004, NIJ-0101.06 and NIJ -0101.04 standards.
The annual production capacity of the enterprise is approximately 120,000 body armors, 200,000 hard armored plates and 60,000 ballistic helmets.
