Russian cargo transshipment via Turkish ports exceeds 25 million tons

In June 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Russia through Turkish ports amounted to 25,022,857 tons, Trend reports referring to Turkey's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

The volume of cargo transshipment from Russia by ships flying the Russian flag amounted to 2,969,944 tons, while Russian vessels flying flags of other countries carried 20,549,610 tons. Meanwhile, Russian vessels flying the Turkish flag accounted for 1,503,303 tons of cargo transshipment in June 2019.

According to the ministry, 1,130,900 tons of cargo were shipped in transit through Turkey to other countries.

In June 2019, 4,754 ships arrived in Turkish ports, the gross registered tonnage of which amounted to 63,603,042 tons. During the reported month, 2,049 ships flying the Turkish flag and 2,705 ships flying flags of other countries arrived in Turkish ports.

The gross registered tonnage of ships arrived at Turkish ports under the Turkish flag in June 2019 amounted to 11,003,826 tons, and of ships under flags of other countries equaled to 52,599,216 tons.

In January-June 2019, Turkish ports received 25,869 ships, the gross registered tonnage of which amounted to 390,223,909 tons. The gross registered tonnage of vessels arrived at Turkish ports under the Turkish flag amounted to 60,091,938 tons, while the gross registered tonnage of vessels under flags of other countries equaled to 330,131,971 tons.
