The development of industrial production of blueberries may happen in the coming years in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the EastFruit portal.
International projects that provide low-cost financing for the creation of enterprises for the production and processing of vegetables, fruits, berries and nuts in Uzbekistan will contribute to the production of blueberries, reads the message.
Experts emphasize that blueberries are the most expensive berries at the world market. But, unlike Spain, Uzbekistan has much cheaper labor, which makes it potentially competitive.
“Uzbekistan will be able to supply blueberries to Asian markets: China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam,” said the message.
However, at present, Uzbekistan does not have the knowledge and understanding of the technologies for growing, refining, cooling, transporting and marketing this berry, read the message.
