Turkmenistan significantly increases exports of cement products to Kazakhstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 20

Turkmenistan increased by 56.8 percent the export of products made of cement, concrete or artificial stone to Kazakhstan from January through July of this year, compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to statistical data of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Thus, during the specified period, more than 1,243 tons of products made of cement, concrete, or artificial stone were exported from Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan, totaling $39,790, which also shows an increase in price compared to the same period of last year by 68.2 percent.

In the reporting period, Kazakhstan was the only country importing Turkmen products made of cement, concrete, or artificial stone from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Also, during this period, 19,985 pieces of sanitary ware made of ceramics were exported from Turkmenistan to the EAEU countries, which is 49.9 percent more than in the same period last year.

Thus, sanitary products made of ceramics were exported to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, totaling $229,757.

According to statistics, from January through July of this year, screws, bolts, rivets, and other made of ferrous metal were also exported from Turkmenistan to Russia in the amount of 37 kilograms for a total amount of $720.
