Iranian Minister to investigate issues of customs clearance of essential goods

TEHRAN, Iran, Nov. 13

Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade traveled to the Hormozgan province to investigate the problems in the process of clearance of basic goods from customs and ports.

The Minister of Industry, Alireza Razm Hosseini, in a one-day trip to Hormozgan Province, attended a meeting with the relevant agencies, to review the strategies to speed up the process of clearance of essential goods, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade has emphasized that the provision of basic goods is one of the most important priorities of the ministry.

Earlier, the Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade said that according to the order of the President, the clearance of basic goods stuck in customs is to be done immediately in cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture, Customs, and the central bank.

Razm Hosseini announced the regular meetings of the Market Regulation Headquarters every Monday with the presence of the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, Customs Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Central Bank.

The Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade expressed hope that the clearance of basic and essential goods will certainly impact the prices in the market.
