Iran's export from Chabahar Port increases

TEHRAN, Iran, Nov.1

Trend:

Iran export from Chabahar port is increasing since last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020) with 100 percent growth in value and volume of export goods, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Iran Customs Administration reports indicate more than 100.3 tons of goods valued at $19.2 million exported from Chabahr port during this period that had a 100 percent increase compared to 2018.

The country's import from Chabahar port was worth $339 million that had 400 percent growth compared to 2018.

Iran's major export destinations from the Chabahar port route are Pakistan, India, Oman, the Emirates, Thailand, Iraq, Malaysia, Somalia, and China while the highest volume of imports arrives in this port from Russia, Germany, India, Switzerland, UK, Brazil, the UAE, China, Spain, and France.

Chabahar is the only oceanic port in Iran that can easily connect to eastern Asia and north and south of Europe.
