Kazakhstan resumes RON-92 gasoline export after 8 years

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov.15

By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Kazakhstan’s major Atyrau refinery started export of RON-92 gasoline of K5 ecology class, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the refinery.

Some 1,827 tons of petrol were exported to European market. This is the largest volume exported by Kazakhstan this month.

The export quota for this petroleum product approved by the Ministry of Energy in November of this year is 35,606 tons.

From 2011, the export of Kazakhstan’s export of light petroleum products was prohibited. The Atyrau refinery has resumed export of the most popular type of petrol for the first time since the prohibition introduction.

Export of K5 class gasoline outside Eurasian Economic Union became possible due to the quality improvement of petroleum products manufactured by Atyrau refinery and the overall increase of manufacturing.
