BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 16. Iran's revenues from crude oil exports increased significantly over last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Sajjad Khalili wrote on his Twitter page, Trend reports.

The deputy minister noted that Iran's revenues from crude oil exports for last year amounted to more than 1.9 quadrillion rials (about $45.2 billion under the official exchange rate).

“Meanwhile, in the preceding Iranian year, (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), the figure stood at 170 trillion rials (about $4.05 billion),” he added.

According to Khalili, Iran is achieving such results as it continues its active energy diplomacy.

According to the OPEC report, Iran's daily crude oil production in May 2022 amounted to 2,544,000 barrels. In May, the price of a barrel of Iranian crude oil was $115.48.

There are currently 74 oil and 22 gas fields in Iran. So, 37 oil fields are operating in the territory of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), 14 fields – Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC), 5 fields – Arvandan Oil and Gas Company (AOGC), and 18 oil fields – Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC).

In addition, 5 gas fields are operating in the territory of the NISOC, 13 fields – the ICOFC, 1 field – Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), and 3 gas fields – the IOOC.

Iran’s total hydrocarbon reserves are estimated at 1.2 trillion barrels. With available technology and equipment, Iran can extract 340 billion barrels. Thus, 30 percent of the country's hydrocarbon reserves are recoverable, while 70 percent remain underground.
