BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 16. Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company (IOPTC) transported a total of 2.8 billion liters of liquid fuel to the country’s thermal power plants, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022), Executive Director of the IOPTC, Arslan Rahimi said, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
“At present, Iran’s 19 TPPs connected to the country’s oil pipeline network and continuously supplied with liquid fuel,” he said.
Rahimi noted that connecting 9 more TPPs to the country’s oil pipeline network is on Iran's agenda. In this regard, 5.9 trillion rials (about $140 million) is needed. A number of steps are being taken in order to allocate the mentioned funds.
Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company transports crude oil and oil products to the country's oil refineries and consumption points through more than 14,000 kilometers of pipelines in the country.
