In September 2006 Azerenerji AO produced over 1.6 billion kWh of electric energy, up 7.3% over year, Trend reports citing a statement by Azerenerji.
A total of 1.5 billion KW/h went on heating power stations and approximately 0.1 billion was produced by hydro-electric stations.
During September the energy exchange with neighboring countries continued. Azerbaijan received 68,060 mln. kWh from Russia, 40,866 mln. kWh from Iran and 20,640 mln. KW/h from Turkey.
From the beginning of 2006 Azerenerji produced 17.5 bln. kWh of energy, including 15.5% produced by heating power plants. Outside supplies exceeded 1,332 bln. kWh, down 12.9% over year.
