Georgia, Tbilisi / Trend corr N. Kirtskhalia / Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey should take a more active part in free rivalry for supply of energy resources to the European market, Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Minister, Natik Aliyev, stated in Istanbul.
"These three countries should not keep aside from free rivalry for markets and should take an active part in them," he said.
Aliyev stressed that one of the key issues of energy policy for that time was supply of energy resources to the European markets.
"Rivalry both for supply of energy resources and for transit corridors has increased. Every country tries to receive dividends," Aliyev stated.
Azerbaijani Minister stressed the necessity to as soon as possible establish an organ which will deal with development of Baku-Tbilisi-Odessa-Brody transport corridor agreed upon at a GUAM summit.
This week Russia has achieved the agreement of Greece for joining 'South Stream' project providing for supply of Russian gas to Europe via the foot of the Black Sea. Russian President, Vladimir Putin, stated that the participants of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) summit had got interested in the project.
