The value of net sale of euro by Kazakhstan’s exchange offices amounted to 31.8 billion tenge in May 2019, which is 0.5 percent less than in April and 21.4 percent more than in May 2018, Trend reports with reference to ranking.kz monitoring agency.
Furthermore, the volume of net sale of euro (sale minus purchase) amounted to 137.2 billion tenge in January-May 2019, which is 39.4 percent more than during the same period of last year.
The largest value of euro sale among regions of Kazakhstan accounts for large cities. Thus, the value of net euro sale in Almaty city amounted to 72.8 billion tenge, which is 50.4 percent more, than during the same period of last year.
It is followed by the capital of Kazakhstan Nur-Sultan city. The value of net euro sale here amounted to 15 billion tenge, which is 6.8 percent less than during the same period of 2018.
The third place by value of sale accounts for Shymkent city with indicator of 9.1 billion tenge. In turn, the least amount of net euro sale (0.1 billion tenge) was observed in Turkestan region.
