By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

It was decided to increase the salaries of laborers in Iran by 39 percent in the next Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare of Iran.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Supreme Labor Council in Iran.

According to the decision, thus, the minimum wage of laborers in Iran next year will be 26.5 million rials (about $632) per month.

In addition, each laborer will receive a monthly labor voucher worth 6 million rials (about $142) and a housing voucher worth 4.5 million rials (about $107). Also, each laborer will receive 1.4 million rials (about $33.3) for their experience and 3.45 million rials (about $82.1) for per child.

Thus, the minimum wage in Iran will be 41.9 million rials (about $997) in the next Iranian year.

Reportedly, the above amounts are based on the official exchange rate of the Central Bank of Iran ($1 equals to 42,000 rials).
