Georgia shares data on amount of premiums according to types of insurance

Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia published an insurance market review for 1H2021, Trend reports.

The volume of direct premiums attracted by insurance companies from insurance activities amounted to 448.6 million lari ($144.3 million), of which 194.9 million lari ($62.7 million) came from medical insurance, which is 13.7 percent of the same period last year.

The amount of insurance premiums attracted according to the types of insurance is as follows:

1. Medical insurance - 194.9 million lari ($62.7 million), increase - 13.7 percent;
2. Insurance of land vehicles - 74.5 million lari ($23.9 million), increase - 26.3 percent;
3. Property insurance - 74 million lari ($23.8 million), increase - 25.5 percent;
4. Life insurance - 31.3 million lari ($1 million), increase - 18.9 percent;
5. Civil liability insurance related to the use of land transport - 21 million lari ($6.7 million), increase - 4.2 percent;
6. Civil liability insurance - 17.5 million lari ($5.6 million), increase - 28.5 percent;
7. Accident insurance - 8.6 million lari ($2.7 million), increase - 19.1 percent;
8. Insurance from financial losses - 7.2 million lari ($2.3 million), increase - 44 percent;
9. Cargo insurance - 5 million lari ($1.6 million), increase - 17.5 percent;
10. Obligation insurance - 4.98 million lari ($1.6 million), increase - 0.8 percent;
11. Liability insurance related to the use of air vehicles - 3.9 million lari ($1.2 million), increase - 303 percent;
12. Air transport insurance (hull insurance) - 2.7 million lari ($868,772), increase - 10.7 percent;
13. Travel insurance - 2.2 million lari ($707,888), increase - 15.7 percent.
