Representatives of Austrian technology and innovation companies are visiting Uzbekistan in order to discuss promising areas of cooperation in the field of innovation and technology transfer, Trend reports with reference to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Vienna.
It was noted that the visit of representatives of the leading Austrian technological and innovative companies, led by the Austrian trade representative in Central Asia was worked out by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Vienna together with the Ministry of Innovation and Technology and the Federal Economic Chamber of Austria.
Before the visit, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abat Fayzullaev held a meeting with the Director of the Department of the Federal Ministry of Innovation and Technology of Austria.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the agenda of the visit of the Austrian delegation. It was noted that during a trip to Uzbekistan, Austrian companies will hold meetings in the ministries of energy, higher and secondary specialized education, public education, innovative development, finance, investment and foreign trade, healthcare, transport and other departments.
Also, the parties touched upon promising areas of cooperation in the field of innovation and technology transfer, as well as the existing opportunities for establishing long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation.
As the beginning of a new stage of interaction, the parties reached an agreement on organizing the "Austrian Technology Day" in the autumn in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent.
