Turkmenistan sends another container cargo to China via Kazakhstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19

Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan (TULM) Open Joint-Stock Company sent container cargo to China, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.

The cargo, consisting of forty-five 40-foot containers with polypropylene, left for China in the direction of Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan-China on Wednesday.

The cargo was sent from Turkmenbashi International Seaport to Kazakhstan’s Aktau port, from where it will continue by rail to China's Ningbo station.

At the same time, TULM exported a shipment of cotton residues by rail from Tejen Station to Ningbo Station in China. A total of forty-two 40-foot containers were sent.

According to the report, the container train will spend 15-17 days on the way.

As reported, earlier, Turkmenistan exported polypropylene to China through the territory of Kazakhstan along the North-South Railway Route for the first time ever.

Also, multimodal transport and logistics company JSC KTZ Express of Kazakhstan together with DHL China carried out transportation of 300 John Deere agricultural combines to Turkmenistan.
