The volume of cars exported by Uzbekistan from January through March 2021 in value terms amounted to $87.4 million, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the committee, Uzbekistan’s cars exported for the reporting period increased by $51 million compared to the same period last year.
It is reported that Kazakhstan accounts for the largest amount of exported for 1Q20221 in value terms amounted to $82.6 million.
The second place in the list of countries that import cars from Uzbekistan is taken by Ukraine - $1.5 million.
It is followed by Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan, $1.3 million and $963,300, respectively. The top five is closed by Azerbaijan with cars imported by Uzbekistan worth $444,700.
At the same time, Russia and Tajikistan during the reporting period exported from Uzbekistan cars worth 313,000 and 134,400, respectively.
Also, according to the committee, Uzbekistan in 3M2021 produced 12,682 Cobalt cars, 12,051 Damas cars, 8,399 Lacetti-Gentra cars, 6,958 Nexia T-250 cars, 2,564 Labo cars, and 1,800 Iskra cars.
Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan sharply dropped car imports in January 2021 by almost 80 percent. According to the committee, foreign cars worth $5.8 million were delivered to Uzbekistan in the first month of 2021, which is almost 80 percent less compared to January 2020.
It is reported that in the summer of 2020 the authorities of Uzbekistan decided to improve competition in the domestic market and canceled the excise tax on car imports, but over the past six months, this has never led to a sharp increase in imports compared to previous years.
