Ozenmunaigaz uses alternative transportation to ensure technical personnel delivery to their job places, JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production spokesman Daulet Zhumadil told Trend over telephone.
"There were difficulties with the delivery of morning shift workers, as bus drivers, carrying oil workers to their job places, stay off the job, fearing for their safety," Zhumadil said. "Now, we use alternative transportation to ensure delivery of technical personnel to their job places".
Zhumadil said oil production is carried out in normal mode, safety of all production facilities and employees involved there is ensured, and security measures are intensified.
Some workers of Ozenmunaigaz stood of the job in night and morning shifts on Dec.17 in connection with mass riots in the city of Zhanaozen in Mangistau region of Kazakhstan, the company said.
According to preliminary data, victims of the riots in Kazakh oil town Zhanaozen that took place on Dec.16 were 10 people, there are also injured peoples, Kazakh Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev said on Friday.
