BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 21. Kazakhstan sent 20 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) of red lentils to Türkiye via the Middle Corridor also known as Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), Trend reports, citing the press service of Kazakhstan Temir Zhollary (KTZ).
The train departed from Kokshetau-1 station in Kazakhstan to the Turkish station Mersin.
Export shipment of Kazakh agricultural products was organized by a KTZ Express JSC subsidiary - Xinjiang KTZ International Logistics Co.Ltd.
The Middle Corridor starts from Southeast Asia and China and runs through Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and further to European countries. Middle Corridor is an alternative path for transporting goods from the EU to China.
