BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. The construction of a household appliance production plant, with an output of 1 million units, started in Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region, Trend reports, citing the Central Communication Service under the President.
The implementation of the project is expected to boost regional industrial potential. Additionally, the commissioning of the plant will create around 1,200 job opportunities. The plant will produce washing machines, TV sets, vacuum cleaners, and other types of appliances.
Talgat Abdrakhmanov, the CEO of “Silk Road Electronics”, revealed that the company is working with their Uzbek counterparts from “Artel” company on procuring the necessary equipment.
Abdrakhmanov also noted that a group of specialists who will be employed at the plant have already been selected and will be sent to Tashkent to assist in their capacity building.
It is expected that the construction of the plant will give a boost to the attractiveness of the Karaganda region. Works on improving local infrastructure have already commenced.
