Russian employers paid over 3 million 170 thousand rubles from wages arrears to migrant workers from Tajikistan, CA-News reported.
Recently, due to development of crisis processes and other reasons, cases of undue wage payments delays to Tajik migrant workers increased, informed Tajikistan's Embassy in Russia.
Over the last 10 days, over 100 citizens of Tajikistan contacted the group of migration policy and relations with regional Tajik public organization, claiming "that unscrupulous employers own them over several million rubles," stressed the Embassy. "All of them receive timely assistance in resolving problems with employers," added the Embassy.
In particular, after intervention of the group, team of the Tajik construction workers received over 1 million 170 thousand rubles. Over two million rubles were received according to five other claims.
Currently, 25 similar claims are under consideration.
The Embassy also assists Tajik migrant workers with employment in Russia. In January-february period over 250 migrant workers were provided with employment in Moscow, Moscow region and other regions of Russia.
