DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, July 31. As many as 150 new industrial enterprises and workshops are scheduled to be operational in 2023 in Tajikistan's Khujand, Trend reports.

According to the official data, as part of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, the city of Khujand is set to witness a significant expansion of its industrial sector.

As a result, the heads of these new businesses have been tasked with implementing innovative equipment and a wider selection of domestic products. This move is expected to improve product quality, increase manufacturing capacity, and fulfill rising demand in both domestic and foreign markets.

Meanwhile, in the first half of the current year, the volume of industrial production in Khujand reached $1.1 billion, reflecting a notable growth with a rate of 111.1 percent compared to the same period last year.

The establishment of new industrial firms and workshops is expected to strengthen the economy of Khujand and the region as a whole, fostering further development and prosperity. These developments will almost certainly result in more job opportunities, improved infrastructure, and a stronger regional presence in the global industrial market.
