3000 people to build Ashgabat hypermarket

Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan starts building the country's first hypermarket. Some three thousand people will be involved in the implementation of the project, the Neutral Turkmenistan reported on Saturday.

The hypermarket will be built in 2012-2014.

The total area of this giant-scale shopping center will be 100,000 square meters; another 35,000 square meters will be given to offices.

The article says that the project includes such things as the division into zones, depending on the different categories of goods and convenience of customers's stay for a long time in the hypermarket.

In particular, ground floor is set aside for the sale of building materials, household appliances, auto, etc. Boutiques, as well as a supermarket will occupy the first floor. Second floor is for products of textiles, sporting goods stores and fitness clubs.

The third floor will become a center of entertainment. It will house an ice rink with area of 360 sq. m, cinema, internet cafe, beauty salons, billiard, bowling alley and numerous restaurants and cafes. 600 square meters will be set aside for the panoramic restaurants.

In addition, the hypermarket's building provides lots of facilities of services. These include mobile phone shops, exchange offices, pharmacies, nurseries and much more.

Convenient access ways are envisaged, parking that can accommodate 1400 cars at the same time, taxi fleet for 50 vehicles, including for delivery of goods at home will be created for customers.
