Iran-Spain ties are friendly - Iranian Majlis speaker Ali Larijani
He made the remark upon his arrival at Madrid's Barjas International Airport where he was welcomed by secretary general of the Spanish Congress of Deputies Manuel Alba, Timeturk reported.
Accompanied by a delegation of lawmakers and deputies of oil and foreign ministries, Larijani arrived in Madrid following his trip to Germany for talks with Spanish officials.
During his stay in Spain, the Iranian Speaker is to discuss major regional and international issues in separate meetings with Prime Minister Luis Rodriguez Zapatra and Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos as well as his Spanish counterpart Jose Bono.
In a meeting with Alba at the airport, Larijani discussed world's financial crisis.
Alba, for his part, said that Spain had earlier hit by international financial crisis triggered by a stagnation in housing market and construction.
He further noted that crisis in the field of housing has increased unemployment rate by 13 percent.
Larijani is to return Iran late on Monday.
