Small industrial enterprises located in Iranian industrial parks exported products worth $3.75 billion to neighboring countries during the last Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), said Mohammad-Ali Aziz-Mohammadi, deputy director at Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Trend reports referring to IRIB.
According to him, discussions are underway with Germany and South Korea on the provision of new technologies for industrial enterprises.
Aziz-Mohammadi added that there are 300 knowledge-based enterprises currently operating in the industrial parks, and that 10,822 production facilities are not fully operating.
"43,458 production facilities have been licensed in 811 industrial parks in Iran. With all of them operating, 876,000 people will be provided with employment," he said.
Aziz-Mohammadi stated that 2,370 industrial enterprises were launched in the industrial parks last year, providing 39,000 new workplaces.
"6,460 of the industrial enterprises at the industrial parks operate with production rate of over 70 percent, with 12,500 of them operating at a rate of 50-70 percent, and more than 13,000 operating at less than 50 percent,” he noted.
Aziz-Mohammadi said that it has been forecasted for more than 19,000 industrial enterprises to resume their operations this year (started March 21, 2019).
