The ports of Turkey in 10M2021 handled 78,322 tons of cargo from Azerbaijan, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Dec. 14.
According to the ministry, during the specified period, 4,599 tons of cargo from Azerbaijan were transported through Turkish ports by ships flying the Azerbaijani flag, while 73,723 tons of cargo - by ships flying the flags of other countries.
It is reported that the ports of Turkey did not carry out transshipment of transit cargo from Azerbaijan in 10M2021.
Around 318.9 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports from January through October 2021.
During the reporting period, 25.02 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag.
Around 293.9 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the flags of other countries through the Turkish ports from January through October 2021.
Moreover, 63.8 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports during the reporting period.
Some 32.4 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in October 2021.
Around 2.4 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag while 30.04 million tons by ships flying the flags of other countries in October 2021.
