Georgian ministers meet with investors involved in hydroelectric power station construction

Georgian Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze and Environment Minister Khatuna Gogaladze have met with representatives of the companies-investors engaged in construction of Larsi hydroelectric power station, Kazbegi hydroelectric power station and Darial hydroelectric power station today and listened to the detailed information on the project implementation process.

All three hydroelectric power stations are being built in Kazbegi region.

The capacity of Larsi hydroelectric power station is 19 MW, annual output - 98 megawatts / hour. The estimated investments hit $ 20 million.

The Georgian company "Energy" is building the station.

The installed capacity of Darial hydroelectric power station is 109 MW, annual output - 521 megawatts / hour, estimated investments - $ 3 million.

The Georgian-American company "Dariali Energy" is building the station.

The installed capacity of Kazbegi hydroelectric power station is 6 MW, annual output - 30 megawatts / hour, estimated investments - $ 3 million.

Georgian company "Kazbegi" is involved in the construction operations.

Ministers stressed that the construction operations must be conducted in compliance with the interests of the state with maximum care for nature.
