Iran is more powerful in engineering services than in production, member of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce Mehdi Zohrevandi told Trend May 3.
Right now we have exports to neighbor countries, Central Asian countries, sometimes Syria, Libya, and a number of African countries, he said.
Iran is very powerful in services and engineering, while production is behind, added Zohrevandi.
"If we make comparison, Turkey is powerful in production while Iran is more powerful than Turkey in engineering services," the official noted.
Iran's engineering service export hit $1.1 billion in the first ten months of the past Iranian year (which ended Mar. 21).
Iran exported over $1.62 billion worth of technical and engineering services in the first ten months of the preceding Iranian calendar year which ended on March 21, 2014.
