Not an economic crisis, but growing racism is the greatest threat to Europe, the Turkish Zaman newspaper quotes Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Mevlut Cavusoglu as saying.
"Racism in Europe shows itself more often. This is evidenced by murder of nine Turks in Germany," Cavusoglu said.
However, he did not rule out that these developments were supported by the German intelligence service.
Cavusoglu also stressed that Islamophobia is observed in Europe. The events that took place in Norway last year, as a result of which a Turkish citizen was killed, can serve as an example for that.
