Trend E.Huseynly / During their visit to Azerbaijan, the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group will discuss the attitude of Armenia towards the position of official Baku on ways of a Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, said the Head of the Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh, Mayor of the city of Shusha, Nizami Bahmanov. According to him, if a mutual agreement is reached during the visit of the co-chairs to the region, a meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia will take place during the summit of CIS State Heads in St Petersburg on 10 June.
" Azerbaijan's position, which is clearly stated by the President, is leading in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The next step should be taken by the opposite side. It they want peace, then the Armenian Armed Forces should leave occupied Azerbaijani lands. Azerbaijanis should return to the released lands, including the Nagorno-Karabakh. Returning Kalbajar and Lachin is the topic for discussions during the next stage," Bahmnov said. In addition, he said that after the Azerbaijanis return to their native lands, negotiations will begin between the heads of the Azerbaijani and Armenian communities of Nagorno-Karabakh to define the status.
The visit of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group to Armenia began on 22 May. They will arrive in Azerbaijan on 25 May.
