Afghanistan, Kabul, 18 September/ Trend , corr A. Hakimi/ Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Rangin Dadfar Spanta called on Afghani opposition forces to put an end to confrontation and to normalize relations with government by peaceful means.
The only way out the situation is to begin discussion with opposition armed forces, minister said in a grand ceremony on occasion of World Peace Day.
President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai has repeatedly stated that he is prepared to hold talks with the leaders of the opposition armed forces.
There is a need for more efforts to establish peace in the region and to achieve social justice in the country, minister said.
For the last years, the wars have claimed lives of 5,500,000 people all over the world and armed conflicts are going on in more than 33 countries mainly in Africa and Asia, Spanta said.
Taliban spokesman announced recently that all attacks will be suspended temporarily on occasion of World Peace Day.
