Solid position of NATO was a good lesson for Russia that it no longer interferes in Georgia's entrance to the alliance, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia David Bakradze briefed the media a meeting with the delegation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly on May 6.
He said that despite all efforts by Russia, NATO has not changed its decision.
"Not only the fact of exercises is important, but also that NATO sent a clear message to Russia. This is a signal despite the position of Russia, cooperation between the Alliance and Georgia will continue.
He believes that the delegation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly will not consider the revolt in Muhrovan battalion as preventing fact.
Bakradze said after meeting with the delegation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly that it is important that in this situation, NATO sends a clear signal to Russia, and, in spite of the actions of the Russian side, Georgia-NATO cooperation will continue.
