Poland will actively promote the process of Georgia's integration into the EU during its EU presidency, Speaker of the Polish Sejm Grzegorz Schetyna said at a meeting with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili at the presidential palace in Tbilisi, the Georgian presidential administration told Trend.
Schetyna emphasized that Poland recognizes the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
The heads of state also discussed bilateral relations and noted the positive dynamics of growth and need to deepen the already established relations. Saakashvili thanked Poland for the traditionally friendly relations and international support to Georgia.
Saakashvili gave his guest a tour of the presidential palace and shared new projects to be implemented in Georgia.
