Azerbaijani president’s order to restore the Jabrayil District’s Jojug Marjanli village, liberated from the Armenian occupation in April 2016, has been praised both by the people of Azerbaijan and international organizations, said Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov.

Hasanov, who also chairs the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, noted that visits of ambassadors and representatives of international organizations to Jojug Marjanli will be organized.

“The April battles are our glorious history. There were martyrs in the battles, but today their souls rest in peace, as people with a great desire return to the lands liberated at the price of their blood,” said the deputy prime minister.

He said that under the president’s order, each house in the village should be examined urgently and the relevant documents should be prepared immediately.

Currently, the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) continues mine clearance in those lands, added Hasanov.
