Azerbaijan and Ira share identical position on many issues of bilateral and international character, Khalaf Khalafov, the Deputy Foreign Minister said. He was commenting on the results of the consultations between the Foreign Ministries held under the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister to Azerbaijan.
According to Khalafov, the sides voiced their intention for intensifying the implementation of bilateral economic projects, consider the cancellation of the visa regime between the two countries, in particular signing of a relevant document which would enable to improve the activities of in and out visit of the citizens of the two countries.
The sides also considered issue on legal status of the Caspian and asserted political support to continuing talks on bilateral and five-lateral formats. Khalafov said that new political leadership of Iran stated their loyalty to the development of relationships with Azerbaijan on base of mutual understanding and mutual respect.
