Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend / Whilst receiving the Foreign Minister of Latvia, Artis Pabriks, on 16 April, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev stated "Relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia are developing successfully and the official visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Latvia plays a significant role in this process".
The President voiced his confidence that the present visit of the Latvian Foreign Minister to Azerbaijan will make its contribution in developing bilateral relations. Pabriks said that Azerbaijan takes a leading role in the region and Latvia attaches great importance to its development of the economical co-operation with Azerbaijan.
