Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Ilhamgizi / The World Azerbaijanis Congress (WAC) office in Ukraine addressed an appeal to the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, offering to establish an official holiday "Day of the State Flag", Ogtay Rustamov, the head of WAC office in Ukraine said.
Several world countries, including Ukraine, the United States, Canada, Russia, Belarus and Turkmenistan mark the Day of the State Flag. The celebration of this holiday in Azerbaijan could contribute in the development of the statehood and patriotism of people, the appeal said.
Representation of the WAC appeals to the Azerbaijan President to issue a decree to include "Day of the State Flag" to the list of official holidays of Azerbaijan.
