Azerbaijan, Baku, 9 June /corr. Trend E.Huseynli / A ceremony was held in Baku to award the teams gaining first, second and third places in Primer League of Azerbaijan. "The championship of 2007-2008 season took place tensely and interestingly," Rovnak Abdullayev, President of Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), said on 9 June.
During the 2007-2008 football season, the gold medal of the Primer League of Azerbaijan was gained by Baku Club 'Inter', sliver medal by Olympic and bronze medal by Flagman.
Abdullayev stated that attention was increased to the child football to develop football in Azerbaijan. According to him, AFFA carries out projects in this regard.
AFFA President said that the results of the recent two friendly matches of the national football team of Azerbaijan showed that the team will demonstrate satisfactory results in future.
In the recent friendly matches, national team of Azerbaijan won Bosnia and Herzegovina with score of 0:1 and Andorra - 1:0.
