Exports of non-oil products from Iran's Kermanshah Province increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 7. The exports of non-oil products from Kermanshah Province, located in western Iran, increased by 17 percent in value terms and 6 percent in weight terms in the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through April 2024) compared to the same month of last year, director general of the Customs Administration of Iran's Kermanshah Province, Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh said, Trend reports.

He estimated that the first month saw the shipment of 491,000 metric tons of non-oil items from Kermanshah Province, with a value of approximately $231 million.

Abbaszadeh noted that the province's main exports include a wide variety of goods, including building materials, fresh produce, dairy products, rubber goods, and milk and other dairy products.

In the meantime, Iran's Kermanshah Province exported 7.27 million tons of non-oil products worth $3.4 billion in the most recent Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024).

To note, according to the statistics of the Iranian Customs Administration, in the first month of the current Iranian year, the country's exports of non-oil products amounted to 9.7 million tons worth $3.17 billion. During the first month, Iran's non-oil exports decreased by 16.9 percent in value terms and 9.66 percent in weight terms compared to the same month last year.
