Other countries willing to use Azerbaijan’s experience in youth policy: Deputy Minister

Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, Jan. 29/ Trend R. Meshadihasanli/ Other countries wan to use Azerbaijan's experience in youth policy, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Youth and Sport said.

"Azerbaijan takes special place in the youth policy conducted in CIS countries, Eastern Europe and in the world. It also stressed by experts from different countries. Other countries want to use Azerbaijan's experience," Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev, participating in the meeting CIS Youth Council in Bishkek, told Trend .

On Jan. 29 the meeting CIS Youth Council began to operate in Bishkek. The meeting focused on youth policy conducted in CIS countries at the state level and announcement of 2009 as the Year of Youth in CIS countries.

The meeting CIS Youth Council will be completed on Jan. 30.

His goal at the meeting is to present Azerbaijan's youth policy and tell about its experience in this sphere, Babayev said. "Presently, our policy consists of state program on formation and development of new youth generation based on nationalism, modern outlook, patriotism and morality," he said.

Different programs within the Year of Youth in CIS will be implemented in Azerbaijan, Deputy Minister said. "In accordance with strategy to develop science and education, a scientific competition with participation of teenagers and youth from 60 countries will be held in Azerbaijan. The agreement with participants-countries has already been achieved. In 2009 Day of CIS Youth meeting will be organized in Azerbaijan. We also intend to organize a competition of CIS young artists via Internet," Babayev said.

Teenagers and youth of 14-20 years old total 60 percent of Azerbaijan's population. Roughly 180 children's and youth organizations operate in the country.
