The prices on tour packages proposed by Azerbaijani travel companies are higher than in neighboring Turkey, Georgia, Iran, Azerbaijani Tourism Association official Muzaffar Agakarimov told Trend on Friday.
"Travel companies often can not attract tourists because of high prices," he said. "Therefore, first, the local prices on packages must be fixed in accordance with the marketing policy."
He said Azerbaijani hotels and travel companies must organize information tours for representatives from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Baltic countries to attract tourists from these countries.
"Azerbaijan has been developing rapidly," he said. "The representatives of foreign countries will be able to see Azerbaijan's tourism potential."Azerbaijani tour prices higher than in neighboring countries
