Azerbaijan ranked eighth place among the 51 developing countries, according to the Global barometer of hope and despair survey, which was conducted in 51 countries for the last months of 2011.

Azerbaijan ranked eighth place among the 51 developing countries, according to the Global barometer of hope and despair survey, which was conducted in 51 countries for the last months of 2011.

The survey was carried out by one of the most reputable companies on research and surveys Gallup International the press service of Marketing society of Azerbaijan told Trend on Saturday.

"It suggests that the population believes in the future and well-being compared to last year and is optimistic about the development of Azerbaijan in 2012," the survey said.
In addition, Azerbaijan took one of the first places among the countries that have achieved high progress in 2011.

The study showed that the highest level of hopelessness was recorded in Europe and North America. The report notes that the current survey is the most pessimistic of all the surveys carried out in 34 years.

More than 45,000 respondents were surveyed this year.

Reliable and professional methodology, a wide range of respondents and the overall objective of this rating is proof that Azerbaijan is developing rapidly, the population is appreciated the country's transformation and policy and looks to the future with faith.

The Association for Research and surveys Gallup International operates more than 60 years and is one of the leading research groups on the social, political and economic research. The report of Global barometer of hope and hopelessness is prepared annually since 1977.
