BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 30. The international community is not giving adequate attention to the mine issue in Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijani Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) Vugar Suleymanov said, Trend reports.
Speaking at a business meeting with donors and partners of the Karabakh Revival Fund and ANAMA, he emphasized the prevalence of double standards in this matter.
“Azerbaijan allocates 95 percent of the funding for the clearance of our territories from mines and unexploded ordnance, with only 5 percent provided by other countries and international organizations,” Suleymanov added.
To note, a working meeting of the Azerbaijani Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) with donors and partners of the Karabakh Revival Fund was held on October 30.
The event, organized to support ANAMA's activities in the process of demining of territories, which is one of the biggest upcoming tasks to accelerate the implementation of the Great Return Plan, was attended by officials, deputies, donors, and partners of the Karabakh Revival Fund, as well as media representatives.
