BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. State budget expenditures in 1Q2022 were executed by 5.62 billion manat ($3.31 billion) or 99 percent of the forecasted amount, Azerbaijan’s Finance Ministry told Trend.
Forecast of state budget expenditures for the period from January through March 2022 was 5.68 billion manat ($3.34 billion), which exceeds the forecast for 1Q2021 by 1.9 percent, or 105.8 million manat ($62.2 million).
According to Ministry, in 1Q2022, over 4.1 billion manat ($2.4 billion), or 74.4 percent of the total state budget expenditures, were allocated for current expenditures (by 166.1 million manat - $97.7 million or 4.1 percent more compared to the same period in 2021).
Some 1.09 billion manat (about $641,000) or 19.4 percent of total current expenditures were the main expenses, 348.8 million manat ($205.1 million) or 6.2 percent were expenses related to servicing public debt and obligations (by 48.7 mllion manat ($28 million) or 12.3 percent less than in 1Q2021).
The state budget surplus of Azerbaijan amounted to 1.38 billion manat (about $811,000) in 1Q2022.
State budget revenues amounted to over 7 billion manat ($4.1 billion) and expenditures - 5.6 billion manat ($3.3 billion) in 1Q2022.
