Azerbaijan counts BTC pipeline-hauled oil volume by Caspian nations

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. The volume of oil transported by the Caspian countries through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline from January through April 2024 amounted to 9.6 million tons, compared to 9.8 million tons in the same period in 2023, Trend reports, citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan's oil accounted for 7.78 million tons of oil pumped through BTC, compared to 8.3 million tons in the first four months of last year.

The remaining 1.82 million tons fell on transit oil from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan (from January through April 2023, it was 1.48 million tons).

To note, main oil pipelines passing through the territory of Azerbaijan transported 12.78 million tons of oil in the first four months of 2024, compared to 12.8 million tons for the same period in 2023.
