TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 16. Uzbekneftegaz (Uzbekistan's oil and gas company) and Russia's Gazprom launched a drilling control center, Trend reports.
Uzbekneftegaz said a teleconference was held with Gazprom's Well Construction Control Center in Muravlenko, which provides remote engineering support for expedited drilling, and Dengizkul field well No. 326 during the ceremony kick-off.
The creation of centralized organizational and digital management allows the company to reduce the duration of drilling wells by 45 percent and reduce the cost of their construction by 3 percent. It will be possible to save from 4 billion soums to 10 billion soums (from $316,702 to $791,756) on the construction of each well.
Moreover, the Center monitors the drilling process of 23 rigs at Dengizkul, Zevarda, Yangi Tegirmon, Shurtan, Nizhny Vostochny Berdak and Nizhny Surgil fields located in Uzbekistan's remote areas. Specialists analyze data from the drilling sites and develop recommendations to improve the efficiency and safety of the construction process.
Meanwhile, Uzbekneftegaz produced natural gas in the amount of 6.9 billion cubic meters in the first quarter of 2024.
The value of exports amounted to $158.5 million, while imports reached $189.4 million during this period.
