BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. Through the conclusion of 2024, Aztelekom endeavors to furnish the populace of Azerbaijan with broadband connectivity boasting a minimum velocity of 35 MB/s, general director of Aztelekom LLC Tural Pirverdiyev said, Trend reports.
He made the statement during the panel discussions at the GSMA M360 Eurasia 2024 conference.
"The Online Azerbaijan project is aimed at replacing the existing ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) technology with GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks) technology, which will provide high-speed internet at speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second. He stressed that the project aims to build a sustainable infrastructure and improve services.
Pirverdiyev mentioned that Aztelekom is the leading provider in the telecommunications industry in Azerbaijan.
"Our services have grown to match client needs, including high-speed Internet, telephone, television, and more," he added.
To note, the GSMA M360 Eurasia 2024 international conference is taking place in Baku, spanning from May 15 through May 16. Azercell serves as the general sponsor of the conference, with support from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transportation of Azerbaijan. This event gathers leading experts, regulators, heads of mobile operators, IT corporations, high-ranking politicians, and other participants. Baku is hosting the M360 Eurasia conference for the second time.
