Volume of petroleum products output at Azerbaijan's Baku refinery revealed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17. Azerbaijan produced petroleum products worth 1.78 billion manat ($1 billion) from January through April 2024, which is 5.3 percent more than in the same period of 2023, Trend reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.

Growth was observed in the production of the following types of oil products: motor gasoline - 511,600 tons (up 8.5 percent), jet fuel - 213,700 tons (up 19.1 percent), and gasoil (diesel fuel) - 791,000 tons (up 5.3 percent).

Bitumen production demonstrated high growth rates - growth by 27.3 percent (up to 70,500 tons).

Production decreased from January through April 2024 in lubricating oils by 3.8 percent (to 20,300 tons), liquefied gas by 16.9 percent (to 76,200 tons), fuel oil by 67.7 percent (to 1,000 tons), and petroleum coke by 5.9 percent (to 79,300 tons).

To note, the production of petroleum products in Azerbaijan is carried out at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery in Baku.
