World financial crisis not to hamper activity of new Azerbaijani bank

The world financial crisis will not hamper new Azerbaijani Azfinansbank to launch its activity, Chairman of Supervisory Council of the Bank Khayal Mammadkhanli said.

"The bank does not face any problems despite we launched our activity in terms of the world financial crisis. So, head of the bank intends to introduce some innovations to the bank activity," Mammadkhanli said.

Azfinansbank's first branch will open in a month, he said. Moreover, the bank prepares to render all bank services, both standard and innovation.

"We plan to introduce a system of E-exchange, automatic deposit cells and cash machines accepting cash," Mammadkhanli said.

The National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) gave Azfinansbank permission to conduct bank activity in December of 2008.

The new bank was established with authorized capital worth ten million manat.

Azfinansbank is the second commercial bank which got bank license in 2008. Nakhchivanbank OJSC with ten million manat capital got permission in August.

On Feb. 17, the official exchange rate is 0.8063 manat to $1.
