Latvian president's visit to Azerbaijan activates talks between banking associations

In June, the Association of Commercial Banks of Latvia and Azerbaijan Banking Association (ABA) will continue to exchange information and discuss prospects for cooperation within the framework of the next visit of the delegation in Baku, representative of the Latvian Association, head of the Parex Bank in Azerbaijan Andreys Krivans said on May 25.

"The meeting will focus on exchange of experiences between the associations, as well as discussions about the training of personnel of Azerbaijani banks in the Training Center at the Association of Latvian Commercial Banks," Krivans said.  

Krivans said the Latvian banking association will also provide Azerbaijani banks with courses and training programs.

"Latvian President Valdis Zatlers is expected to visit Azerbaijan in July, so I think this will even more intensify the negotiations between the two banking associations," Krivans said.
